My Official Statement

Guys the next few weeks could be very difficult for me. I’m potentially facing 25+ years in jail for satire, a stupid little website, and pissing off some people in power. This is a very serious problem in our country and could happen to anyone. This is the state we live in, I am living proof. This is truly disturbing and in a way is what I feel I am fighting against.

I’m sure many of you may not agree with some of the things I do (sometimes I don’t), I however don’t feel I deserve 25+ years in jail, or any time in jail. At some point (soon) I may have to face some of this stuff, and I hope that I will be able to have your support, not for me, but for the sake of our country.

It’s also incredibly sad and disturbing that the Philadelphia Government is choosing to “allegedly” pursue this. There are enough problems facing Philadelphia and I’m sure the time and money could be put to better use.  I have a love for Philadelphia and would like to see this effort and money put to better use, like cleaning up the streets and our communities and improving education and cleaning up our corrupt court sytem. The city in which our country was founded is now stomping on our constitution and every principle which people, including the very members of the Philadelphia Police Department, have died to protect.

It’s also sad to me how the Philadelphia Inquirer (Julia Shaw) printed such a story without having any document of the alleged charges. I think most of this stems from me insulting her for her use of the letter “U” for the word “you.”  It could also be that she has  ties to people who I have written about.  Julia, you keep referencing the “disturbing” art work that I used. The inspiration for that came from this art piece.

I intend to to fight these “alleged” charges and stand up for the 1st amendment. At heart I am a pacifist and wish no harm on anyone. I would never wish death apon anyone, and if anyone took anything I did the wrong way–or seriously–I deeply apologize.

To the family and friends of the fallen officer which I have written about:

My actions were in no way, shape, or form meant to offend you. I know that they actually did, and I apologize. I understand what it is like to lose a loved one and would never wish or condone your pain. I in fact do not support the two “alleged” murderers. I was simply trying to offend the racist bigots who were publicly and ignorantly attacking me and the two alleged criminals.

Cheers,

Joshua Scott Albert
